Johanna Even-Ascencio, EdD

Principal of the Marshall Humphrey Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona

Johanna Even-Ascencio earned her doctorate in Administration Planning and Social Policy in June of 2002. Her dissertation research focused on the role of instructional coaching in supporting the development of professional learning communities in schools. She currently works as the Principal of the Marshall Humphrey Elementary School in Chandler, Arizona. She also served as the principal of the John D. Philbrick School in Roslindale, MA. Prior to becoming a principal, she worked as an elementary school teacher and a literacy coach, supporting teachers in implementing new literacy practices. She has also taught courses in instructional leadership at Cambridge College.
